WHICH INK PAD IS SUITABLE FOR EMBOSSING?
The embossing ink pad is transparent and particularly well suited for the embossing technique. You can also use any of our pigment ink pads for embossing. Our metallic shades Gold, Silver and Rose Gold are perfect for this because the embossing powder adheres very well to them. Simply stamp your motifs in color or colorless, then sprinkle them with embossing powder and finally heat them with the heat gun until a relief-like stamp impression is created. Excess powder can then be returned to the powder container and stored for the next use. You can find all the embossing items mentioned in the category embossing accessories.
Tutorial: Christmas tags with the embossing technique
In this video we show you how to create shimmering gold gift tags using the embossing technique:
Step 1:
Set out a base, the paper tags, embossing ink pads , and powder.
Step 2:
Stamp the tags with the embossing pad and dust the motif generously with powder, then pour it onto the base (you can return the excess powder to the tin afterwards).
Step 3:
Take your heat gun and heat the stamp print until the powder has turned to a golden shine. Let it dry a little bit - et voilà!
Step 4:
Now thread the yarn through the tag to give your gift box an extra festive and personal touch!

CAN I ALSO USE A HAIR DRYER TO DRY THE EMBOSSING MOTIF AFTER STAMPING AND POWDERING?
A hair dryer will blow the embossing powder off your stamp work and will also not get hot enough. Therefore, use a suitable heat gun. This will make the embossing look visible in seconds.
